To Be Faithful Servants Walking God's Talk
Purpose Team Ministries
In September 2008, St. Patrick's Parish unveiled a new parish vision discovered in the good news of the Gospel. God calls us to grow in faith as individuals and as a community. Stewardship, which is a way of living one's life and faith on purpose, is a critical component of this call. The spirituality of Stewardship provides a context in which we can strive to be faithful servants walking God's talk and this is the essence of the new pastoral vision.
As a way to efficiently organize an ever-growing number of dynamic ministries, consistent with the parish vision, St. Patrick’s Parish grouped all ministries under the categorization of one of four Purpose Teams: Sacraments and Worship; Support and Infrastructure; Servant Development; and Service and Outreach.
The Purpose Teams are small faith groups who engage in prayer and reflection to help set the direction of the parish and work together on common service opportunities. The Purpose Teams also help to facilitate communication among ministries and disseminate information from the Pastor to their members. This provides a synergy between groups and fosters an environment which enables greater focus on our mission as people of faith. Individual ministries are divided into one of the four Purpose Teams based on their primary activities within the parish and beyond.
