To Be Faithful Servants Walking God's Talk
Second Sunday of Easter
This Weeks Readings: Acts 2.42-47; Psalm 118; 1 Peter 1.3-9; John 20.19-31.
Jesus appears to Thomas and the apostles. Jesus reveals himself to those with open hearts to receive him. Many of us are like the doubting Thomas, victims of our pragmatic world of demanding proof. What a gift faith is, to surrender and trust in the designs of the Lord, rather than our own pride and prejudice. Jesus always has so much more of his life to share with us. He is waiting on our receptive spirits. Like the apostles we huddle and hide, until Jesus steps forward and invites to fear not, but believe.
Next Week's Readings: Acts 2.14, 22b-28; Psalm 16; 1 Peter 1.17-21; Luke 24.13-35.
