Confirmation

Confirmation is the final sacrament of initiation into the Catholic Church. In the archdiocese of Toronto, Archbishop Thomas Collins has decided that the normal age for Confirmation will be in grade eight, between 12-14 years of age.  However, high school students are also welcome to prepare for this sacrament.

As with the other sacraments, when it is time for a child to prepare for Confirmation, the family approaches the parish for information.

Parent and candidate meetings will be held Thursday, September 23 & Friday September 24, 2010, at 7:00 pm and Saturday September 25 at 11:00 am (families need only attend one of these meetings). Registration for the sacrament will take place immediately following the parent/candidate meeting.
