Message from LyndaAt St. Patrick’s, Alpha is an important tool for our parish renewal. Our parish mission is “To bring God’s love into the world through a life-changing friendship with Jesus.” That is the entire purpose of Alpha – to focus on our faith as we journey with others.
During the course of an Alpha session, many people find that their faith in Jesus is deepened and some people come to faith for the first time. Some are motivated to share their stories because they want to encourage others to try Alpha.
Alpha has been integrated into the RCIA (Rites of Christian Initiation of Adults) at St. Patrick’s and one of the testimonials has been written by Keri-Ann Craddock who was baptized at the Easter Vigil this year. Her time in Alpha was key to her decision to enter the Roman Catholic Church.

ALPHA TESTIMONIAL - SEMINARIAN VICTOR
The mission statement of this parish is “To bring God's love into the world through a life-changing friendship with Jesus.” One of the ways we can start or renew that relationship is through Alpha. Alpha is a way to show people that Jesus is real and that it is possible to have a relationship with Him. Alpha has changed many people's lives around the globe, including in this parish, which is why we often invite people to come and see. It's an opportunity to learn more about our Christian faith. In Alpha, we watch videos about Christianity, about Jesus. We then share about our experiences of the faith, ask simple and challenging questions, or just listen to others. There is total freedom with how much you want to engage with the program. Read more.
